Loss, damage, and repair coverage is optional and removes the above mentioned responsibility of the renter if the instrument is damaged, lost, or stolen and fits the following criteria, so long as monthly payments have remained current. If at any time the renter is not current on rent, LDR coverage is no longer valid and we may require the renter to bring the instrument in to Violin Outlet for evaluation before adding LDR coverage back to your contract. If your instrument is damaged, you must present it to Violin Outlet for evaluation. We will determine if the instrument should be repaired or replaced with an instrument of equal value. Normal wear and tear, dents, scratches and removal of the finish are not covered, unless they materially affect the sound of the instrument. Strings and bow hair are considered normal upkeep of an instrument and are not covered by LDR. Cleaning fees are not covered by LDR. If your rental instrument is stolen, you are required to file a police report and bring a copy to Violin Outlet. Upon receipt, we will replace the instrument with an instrument of equal value. LDR coverage is available for violins and violas for a charge of $7.00 per month (including tax) and cellos for a charge of $10.00 per month (including tax). Basses are not covered by LDR.
