The Glasser carbon composite acoustic electric cello is a revolutionary new instrument. Glasser Bows has long been a world leader in developing advanced products with the use of composite materials. Glasser Carbon Composite instruments are the latest development.
The AE carbon series acoustic-electric instruments feature a high-gloss clear coat over a colored dye coat, showcasing the distinctive and beautiful carbon fiber weave.
Wooden cellos take a beating, and are often damaged by climatic changes. Glasser’s cellos are much more durable. Built to last, they also look and sound great. Glasser’s patent pending construction makes for an instrument with a wonderful tonal qualities and durability other instruments will never match.

All Glasser Carbon Composite cellos arrive fully set-up with Larsen Magnacore strings, Planetary Tuning Pegs, a Glasser house rosin, and a Glasser carbon fiber endpin. The acoustic electric version of the cello comes in 4/4 in black, includes a Glasser Swordtail active tailpiece system powered by Bartolini pre-amplification, and a Schatten pick-up. Custom colors may be ordered for an additional $100.  The outfit includes a Glasser BCFX Braided Carbon Fiber bow, a Glasser rosin, a Glasser tuner, an instrument stand, a 10’ right angle cable, a polishing cloth, and a padded gig bag.
