Violin Outlet welcomes Dan Murphy to the repair team and we would like to share his bio:
Dan Murphy was born and raised in Las Vegas where as a young aspiring violinist studied under Greisha Globoff and Kalman Banyak. Upon high school graduation, he moved to Southern California to study with Eudice Shapiro at USC.
For the past twenty years, Mr. Murphy resided in the Midwest. He freelanced, was a featured soloist and member of several orchestras and ensembles, and co-owned the River Band Conservatory of Music. He maintained a private teaching studio for over twenty years and owned Murphy’s Violin Shop.
Mr. Murphy recently relocated back to his hometown (Las Vegas) where he performs in various showrooms and is a member of several orchestras. He is a fine luthier and repairs instruments and rehairs bows for Violin Outlet.
